  • AFL

    James has been part of the Sydney Swans senior squad since he was drafted in 2014. In his last 2 seasons, James has moved between the NEAFL side, helping them to the grand final in 2016, and playing senior football in the AFL. In 2017 James has already had a strong start to the NEAFL season.

    Amy is an Australian Junior middle distance runner specialising in the 1500m. In 2016 Amy competed for Australia at the World Junior Championships in Poland. She is the top ranked junior 1500m runner in Australia and is ranked in the top 25 in the world for this event.

    Annabel competes in long-distance track events for the UTS Norths Athletics Club, favouring the 5000m event. In 2016 Annabel was the Australian Junior Champion in the 5000m and qualified to represent Australia at the IAAF World Junior Athletics Championships, where she placed 14th in the final.

    Anthony is a proud UTS Norths sprinter. He represented Australia at the 2014 World Junior Championships, where his relay team finished 7th. Anthony recently placed 10th in the 100m and 5th in the 200m at the NSW State Open Championship.

    Edward is a talented middle distance runner who holds a World U20 ranking of 27th. In 2016 he placed 3rd at the Australian U20 National Championships and 3rd in the NSW Open State Championships representing UTS Norths.

    Emmanuel, a triple jump specialist, placed 2nd at the Australian U20 Championships. He also placed 2nd at the State Open Championships in 2017, representing UTS Norths. Emmanuel holds a current Open National Ranking of 7th.

    Gabriella, a 100 and 200m sprinter, represents the UTS Norths Athletics Club. In 2016 she was selected to represent Australia at the IAAF World U20 Championships in both the 100m Hurdles where she made the semi-final and the 4x100m relay team that made the final.

    Jack is a middle distance event specialist who competes for the UTS Norths Athletics Club. In 2016 he placed third in the 1500m at the State Open Championships and won gold for UTS in the same event at the Australian University Games.

    Jay is a UTS Norths member who competes in the race walk. In 2016/17, Jay won the Open 30km race walk at the NSW Championships. Jay also won the 20km race walk in the NSW Road Walk Championships and is currently ranked 10th in Australia.

    Jye is a 400m, 800m and 1500m runner for NSW. At the Australian Junior Championships Jye won a bronze medal in the U20 800m and is also the current U20 NSW champion for 800m

    Liam is a thrower, competing in both the discuss and shot put events for UTS Norths. Before a season ending injury, Liam remained unbeaten in both shot put and discus on the NSW domestic circuit and Australian University Games.

    Lily is a talented middle distance runner who specialises in the 800m. At the 2016 Junior National Championships in Perth, Lily won a bronze medal in the 800m. In 2016 Lily was also the NSW Junior 800m Champion and a silver medalist in the 1500m.

    Mason competes in the 800m for the UTS Norths Athletics Club. At the 2016 National Championships, he placed third and after impressive form in the 2016/17 season, Mason has been selected in his first senior Australian Team. He will represent Australia at the World Relay Championships in the Bahamas.

    Olivia is a 400m sprinter who proudly represents the UTS Norths Athletics Club. In 2016 Olivia was the State Open 400m Champion and she represented Australia at the IAAF World U20 Championships as part of the 4x400m relay team.

    Sam is a talented sprinter who represented Australia in 2016 at the IAAF World U20 Championships in the 100m and 4x100m relay. She competes for the UTS Norths Athletics Club and was the Australian Junior National Champion for the 100m in 2016.

    Sean is a sprinter who competes in the 400m and 200m events. He competes for the UTS Norths Athletics Club and made his comeback from injury in 2016 representing NSW at the National Championships. Earlier in the year Sean placed 3rd in the 400m at the Hunter Track Classic.

    Steven is a dual citizen, representing both Australia and the USA in race walking. In 2016, he represented the USA at the World Race Walking Team Championships and placed 5th at the USA Olympic Trials. When competing in Australia, Steven represents the UTS Norths Athletics Club.

    Timothy competes for the UTS Norths Athletics Club in the Dicsus and Hammer Throw events. In 2016 he placed 3rd in the Hammer Throw at the Australian Junior National Championships and 1st at the Australian University Games.

  • Badminton

    Tiffany represents NSW and Australia in Badminton in the singles and doubles events. She holds an Open World Ranking of 106 for Women's Singles and in 2016 she won Gold at the Pan Pacific Trophy. She also represented Australia at the Junior World Championships.

  • Basketball

    Darcy plays Basketball for the Hornsby Spiders in the NSW Waratah League, Championships Men's division, the highest level of domestic competition for men in NSW. Darcy also represents UTS at the Australian University Games and was invaluable in the team's bronze medal in 2016.

    Kimberley is one of the state's best basketballers. In 2016 she was part of the NSW and Australian All Schools sides and in 2017 Kimberley will be representing the NSW U20s side at the National Championships. She also plays for the Sparks in the SEABL competition.

    Chris is a contracted player with the Sydney Thunder and was a member of their Big Bash League 2016 team. Chris was also a member of the NSW Blues Matador Cup winning team for the 2016/17 season. Chris has also had his first taste of International Crikcet as a member of the Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League.

    Harry holds a full time contract with Cricket NSW, playing in both the NSW Blues Matador Cup One-Day side and the NSW Sheffield Shield side. In addition to representing NSW, Harry is also a member of the Big Bash League side, the Sydney Sixers.

  • Cycling

    Selina is a member of the NSW State Track Cycling Team. She has recently competed for Australia at the National Track Cycling Championships in the team sprint and keirin.

  • Diving

    In 2016, Nicholas was a member of the NSWIS Australian Domestic Grand Prix Team and the Australian Olympic Trial Team. Nicholas narrowly missed out on making the 2016 Olympic Team, finishing 5th at the Olympic Trials. Nicholas is a NSWIS Developing Athlete Scholar for 2017.

  • Equestrian

    In 2016 Jock was selected in the NSW Junior and Young Rider squads. He represented NSW at the Australian Nationals Championships and in the same year, Jock was selected in the Australian young Rider Team, of just 4 to compete in a Trans Tasman series.

  • Fencing

    Harrison, a UTS Fencing Club member, competes in the Sabre class. In 2016 he placed 3rd at the Adelaide AFC2 and 8th at the Melbourne AFC1, finishing 2016 with an Open NSW Ranking of 5th. Harrison also represented UTS at the Australian University Games.

    Jasper is an accomplished fencer who is currently on both the NSW and Australian Fencing teams. At the 2016 National Championships, Jasper won gold in the Men's Sabre and subsequently was selected to run for the Sabre team for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

    Christopher is a talented footballer who plays for the Sydney FC 1st Grade Youth side. He plays in both the National Youth League Competition and the NSW National Premier League. Christopher has also represented UTS at the Australian University Games.

    Jonathan made his professional football debut in the 2015/16 A- League season for the Western Sydney Wanderers. In the current 2016/17 season, Jonathan has made 23 appearances and after being a stand out defender, has been named in the Australian U23 squad. 

  • Gridiron

    Renee is a current member of the Australian Women's Gridiron team.. Renee was named MVP of the NSW Gridiron League and will soon compete for the Australian Outback team at the World Championships in June. In 2016 Renee was also involved in the Gridiron State of Origin.

  • Gymnastics

    Desnee competes in artistic gymnastics in the international levels elite stream. In 2016, Desnee placed second overall at the NSW State Championships and represented NSW at the National Championships. Desnee will represent NSW again at the National Championships in 2017.

  • Handball

    Early in 2016, Henrik joined the Australian Junior squad as a goalkeeper. In the same year he was also selected for the U21 and Open NSW side placing 3rd and 2nd at each respective National Championships. Henrik also played for the UTS/UC Hawks in the Australian Handball League.

  • Hockey

    Georgina plays in the NSW Women's Premier League Hockey competition. In 2016 she was selected for both the NSW U18 and U21 sides. She has again been selected for the 2017 U21 squad with the final team announcement to follow shortly.

    In 2016, Morgan was selected for both the NSW U18 and NSW U 21 sides to play at the National Championships. Following two great tournaments, Morgan was selected in the 2016/17 Australian Futures Group and she also played for the SA Suns in the Australian Hockey League. 

  • Kayaking

    In 2016 Rachel was selected to represent Australia at the U23 World Championships for Sprint Kayaking, where she placed 8th. She was also the Australian National Champion in the K2 500m and 2nd in the K1 500m. Rachel also holds a scholarship with NSWIS

  • Netball

    In 2016, Georgia was a key member of the NSW U21 team that won the National Championship. As well as this, she played for the NSW Waratahs, in the Australian Netball League for the 2016 and 2017 seasons. Georgia also plays in the NSW Premier League competition.

    Grace is a member of the ACT Academy of Sport and is part of the ACT Giants training squad for the Australian Netball League. Grace was selected in 2016 for the ACT U17s side and in 2017 she was selected for the ACT U19s. Grace also plays in the NSW Premier League competition.

    Kelly is a talented young netballer who was selected for the 2017 NSW U19 team to play at the Australian National Championships. Kelly is a goal attach, who also plays in the NSW Premier League Netball competition.

    In 2016, Olivia represented NSW in the U19 team at the Australian National Championships. Olivia also plays in the NSW Premier League competition for the UTS Sparks and will represent the Canberra U19 team as an import player, at this years National Championships.

    Prudence travelled to Fiji as a member of the U21 Australian Word Youth Cup team. She was also in the Australian National League Waratahs Team and plays GWS in this NSW Premier League Competion. Prudence has had her first taste of the Super Netball League as a NSW Swifts training partner.

    Teigan is a NSWIS scholarship holder and has already had great success in 2017. Teigan was selected as a training partner for the GWS Giants Suncorp Super Netball Team and has been playing for the Canberra giants in the Australian Netball League. Teigan has also been selected in the NSW U19s and Australian U21 squad.

    Toni made her Suncorp Super Netball Debut this year in round 2 for the GWS Giants. She holds a scholarship with the NSW Institute of Sport and has been selected in the Australian U20 World Youth Cup squad. Toni travelled with the squad to Fiji earlier this year and is likely to make final selection for the Australian team in July.

    Franc is a regular NSW Youth representative, as well as being selected in several National teams. In 2016, Franc was selected to be part of the Australian U23 Men's coxed 8 to compete at the U23 World Championships.

    Grace is a rower who has been competing for the NSW U21 Women's Youth VIII since 2016. At the 2017 State Championships Grace won silver medals in both the U21 Womens VIII and U21 Women's 2.

    James won two Gold medals at the 2016 Australian National Championships and this led to his selection in the Australian U23 lightweight quad to row at the World Championships, where he placed 10th. Most recently, James won the Open lightweight double scull at the 2017 Australian National Championships representing the UTS Rowing Club.

    James competes for the UTS Rowing club. In 2016 he won the Men's lightwieght coxed 4 at the NSW State Championships and was selected to represent NSW as part of Men's lightweight 4 for the National Championships where he placed 3rd. James is in the NSW squad again for 2017.

    Kate represented Australia as part of the U21 Rowing Team which competed in Australia and New Zealand as part of the Trans Tasman Regatta. Kate competes for the UTS Rowing Club and won several medals at both State and National Championships for UTS.

    Lara is a talented rower who is a member of the NSW U21 Youth 8 team for both 2016 and 2017. Lara competes for the UTS Rowing Club and at this year's National Championships she won a gold medal in the U21 coxless pair.

    After impressive school rowing results in 2015, Lewis was selected to represent Australia in the Junior Men's Coxed 4. Lewis and his crew placed 5th in the A-Final at the Junior World Championships in Rotterdam.

    Matthew is an Australian and NSW rower who has been training with the NSW rowing team since 2016. Recently Matthew has open national medals and also won 3 gold medals at the rowing Trans-Tasman with the Australian U21 team.

    Olivia rows for the UTS Rowing Club in various scull eventsand is a member of the NSW State Youth VIII. At the 2016 Australian Championships, Olivia won gold in the Women's U21 Double Scull and was then selected in the Australian Junior Women's Coxless Quad for the World Junior Championships. Olivia won gold in the same event at the 2017 Australian National Championships.

    Patrick is a young up and coming rower who moved to the UTS Rowing Club for Queensland where he was a member of the State Schools Rowing team in 2016. In the same year, he won two National titles in the U19 Coxed 4 and 8 and at the 2017 National Championships, Patrick won a silver medal in the U19 Single Scull.

    Angus made his NRL debut in round 19 of the 2016 season for the South Sydney Rabbitohs. He remained in the top side for the remainder of the season, scoring his first try in round 22. In the same year he was named in the U20s Academic Team of the Year. Angus has regularly played with the top side in the 2017 season.

    2016 was a breakout year for Connor, making his NRL debut with the Sydney Roosters. It wasn't long before he was a regular in the top team and earned selection in the Junior Australian Kangaroos team. Connor has also had a great start to the 2017 season, earning himself the Most Valuable Player of the NRL Auckland 9s where he helped the Roosters to victory.

  • Rugby League

    Daniel plays in the NRL for the Parramatta Eels, he played 17 games in the 2016 season and has already had 6 games early in the 2017 season. After a great 2016 season, Daniel was named in the NRL Academic team of the year in recognition of his dedication on field and to off-field study. Daniel was also named in the 2016 NSW residents team.

    Thomas has held professional contracts for Rugby League since 2012, when he first signed with the South Sydnay Rabbitohs. He was selected to play in the Charity Shield match in 2015 and 16 and helped the Rabbitohs to the Auckland 9s win in 2015. Thomas took a new NRL contract with the Newcastle Knights mid way through 2016.

    After being named the 2016 Men's Player of the Tournament, playing for the Australian Universities Team at the National Championships, Ben earned himself a contract with the Australian 7s program. Ben has been playing internationally with the development side.

    Tiana is a long time member of the Australian Women's 7s squad, making her debut in 2013. In 2016 Tiana helped Australia to it's forst ever World Series win and was part of the squad for the Rio Olympic Games. So far in the 2017 World Series, Tiana has scored 10 points in 7 matches.

    James plays in the Shute Shield First Grade team for the UTS Gordon Rugby Club. This year he was also named in the NSW Waratahs U20 squad. James was also an integral part of the UTS Australian University Games gold medal-winning side.

    Lachlan is a member of the NSW U20 Waratahs team, playing in the U20 Super Rugby competition. In 2017 Lachlan was invited to attend the Australian U20 training camp with final team selection to come. Lachlan also plays in the Shute Shield in the Colt's first division.

    Michael is currently the head strength and conditiong coach for the Australian Sevens Development Squad, NSW Country Eagles and NSW Waratahs Women's 10s. This was capped off with successful seasons with the Country Eagles making the grand final of the NRC and the Waratahs Men's and Women's 7s winning their respective national championships.

    Nicholas plays Rugby for the UTS Gordon Club and is also in the 2017 U20 NSW Waratahs squad. In 2016 Nicholas was selected in the NSW 1st Schoolboys side and following an impressive tournament he was named in the Australian Schoolboys Barbarians team.

    Following an impressive 2016 season in First Grade of the Shute Shield, Sebastian was nominated for Shute Shield Rookie of the Year. As well as this, he was selected for the Sydney Rays as the starting outside centre in the National Rugby Championships.

    Amelia started racing competitively in skiff racing at the age of 11. Amelia competed at the Junior World Cup as a member of the Australian Youth Team and finished 7th in the Open National Championships. She is also a member of the NSW State Team.

    Charlotte is an elite sailor and is a member of the NSW Youth Sailing Team, Australian 420 National Team and Australian Youth Sailing Squad. At the 2017 NSW Championships, Charlotte finished 1st out of the female competitiors and 2nd overall.

  • Shooting

    Daniel is a member of the NSW Junior and Open Shooting teams. He is also a member of the A4G Shooting Australia Elite Squad and the 2017 Euro Airgun Tour National Team. Daniel has already placed several times in International competitions this year and will be competing at the Junior World Cup.

    Charlie is a rising star in Surf Life Saving. In 2016 he represented NSW at the Australian Interstate Championships. Following this, Charlie represented Australia in the World Life Saving Championships, winning the Youth Ironman/Oceanman Race.

    Jackson is an Ironman competitor and is currently part of the NSW High Performance Squad. He was also a member of the Australian Surf Life Saving team which won the Sanyo Bussan Cup and medalled in multiple events at the 2016 State Surf Life Saving Titles.

    In 2016/17, after a successful season, Max qualified for the professional Nutri-Grain Ironman Championships. This is his second time competing in the Championships, finishing 12th.

    At the end of the 2016 World Qualifying Series, Shane finished with a World Ranking of 149th. Shane won both the Aloha Manly Style Pro and Cornwall Boardsmasters Pro WQS 1000. Currently, in the 2017 Series, Shane holds a World Ranking of 15th.

    Andrew is a 100m Butterfly and 100m Breastroke specialist. In 2016, he won the 17-18 years Breastroke at the NSW State Age Championships. He placed 8th in the same event at the National Championships. In 2017, Andrew placed 6th in the 100m Butterfly at the National Age Championships.

    Callum is a regular state and national competitior. At the 2017 Open State Championships, Callum won a Bronze medal and at the Australian National Championships, he was a finalist in both the 200m and 400m individual medley.

    Christine is a talented swimmer who specialises in Backstroke. In 2016 she won the 100m and 200m Backstroke events at the Age National Championships and she also competed at the Rio Olympic Qualifiers. In 2017, Christine swum at both State and National Championships.

    Edward is a NSWIS scholarship holder who competes in the 100m Butterfly and 100m Freestyle. In 2016 he placed 9th at the Rio Olympic trials in the Butterfly and was selected as part of the Australian World Cup Series Team. Edward made the top 8 in two events at the Singapore leg of the Series.

    In 2016, Jack competed in the NSW State Open and Age Championships as well as the National Age Championships. In 2017, Jack qualified for the first time for the Australian National Championships in the 50m and 100m Breaststroke.

    Joshua is a National Junior Medalist for swimming. He has represented Australia at the Youth Olympic Games. Following an injury, Joshua has made a strong come back into competition having the fastest completion time in the 2017 1km Cole Classic and finishing 4th in the 400m at the NSW State Open Championships.

    Kenneth is a member of the Hong Kong National Swimming Squad. In 2016, Kenneth placed 4th in both the 100m Freestyle and 50m Butterfly at the 9th leg of the Swimming World Cup. Kenneth is hoping to qualify for this years World University Games.

    After winning 5 Gold medals at the 2015 Youth Commonwealth Games and 2 Gold medals at the FINA Junior World Championships, Lucy took 2016 off to focus on her studies. Lucy has had a great return to the pool in 2017, winning Gold in the 100m freestyle at the SA Championships and making the final of the 50m backstroke at the 2017 Australian National Championships.

    Oliver is a member of the National Open Water Swimming Development Team. In the last 12 months, he has placed 1st in both the 5km and 10km events at the NSW Championships. As well as this, Oliver placed 6th at the Australian National Championships.

    Olivia is a middle and long distance Freestyle swimmer. In 2016 she was a member of the NSW All Schools swim team and was a finalist in the 200, 400 and 800m Freestyle at the Australian Age Championships. In 2017, Olivia won Gold at the NSW State Age Championships in both the 400 and 800m Freestyle.

    Tomas finished 4th at the Rio Olympic Trials in the 400m IM. He is a current NSWIS scholarship holder and in 2015 Tomas won two silver medals at the Australian Short Course Championships and made two finals at the Japan Open.

    In 2016, Zachary was a member of the NSW State Team and the Australian Youth Team. He won multiple gold medals at both State and National Age Championships. In 2017, Zachary has qualified to represent Australia at the Junior World Championships.

    Rene is an accomplished international referee for Taekwondo. In 2016 Rene has been involved in officiating 6 international Taekwondo competitions and in 2017 was involved with refereeing the U.S Open. Rene has also regereed at the World Junior Championships and the test event for the Rio Olympic Games.

    In 2016, Serena was a member of the NSW State Team, as well as being a National Team member, competing at various International Open events. Serena was a quarter finalist at the Oceania Cup and was part of the 2016 Olympic Training Program.

    Blade captained the Homebush Giants team, playing in the Sydney Allstars league where they were crowned the winners of the highest team tennis league in NSW. In the same year, he captained the UTS tennis team to their Australian University Games Gold.

    Cayleigh is currently ranked 85th in Australia for Tennis. In 2016 she won the ACT AMT Doubles title and was a finalist in both singles and doubles at the Capital Open AMT. In 2017 Cayleigh has been a finalist in several AMT Tournaments.

    Guillem has been playing Tennis internationally from the age of 17, when he first joined the ATP rankings, all while studying hid undergraduate degree in Spain. Since then, he has played for multiple international clubs. In 2016, GUillem helped the UTS tennis team to their Gold medal at the Australian University Games.

    Sonja was instrumental in the UTS women's team winning the 2016 Australian University Games. She holds a current Australian Open Ranking of 65th and in 2016 was ranked 5th for her age group. Sonja has won several doubles competitions on the AMT tour and has been a finalist in the singles.

    Christopher plays for the Wests Magpies in the Vawdon and State Cup competitions. Following an impressive season, he was selected for the Australian U20 mixed side to compete in the Trans Tasman Championships in New Zealand. In 2017, Christopher represented the Sydney Mets at the National Championships.

    Stephanie had a great season of touch football, winning every representatove tournament she was selected for. Stephanie won both the Vawdon and State Cup titles representing Manly. This was followed by a Junior Trans Tasman Championship title, representing Australia and a National Championship Elite 8 title, representing the Sydney Scorpians.

  • Volleyball

    Bridget has played for the UTS Volleyball Club since 2013 and following an impressive 2016 season, she was selected in the Australian Junior Women's team. Bridget travelled with the team to the USA to compete in their High Performance Championships. In addition to this she is also on the NSW U19 Beach Volleyball Team.

  • Water Polo

    Genevieve is a goal-keeper who is currently in the development training squad for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Genevieve has also been in Australian Junior teams, competing at World Junior Championships in 2015 and is a current member of the Western Australian Institute of Sport and WA's U20 State side.

    Harry plays for the UTS Balmain Tigers in the National League. In 2016 Harry was selected in the NSW U20 side for the National Championships and he was also selected for the AUstralian U20 side which toured Europe. Harry also holds a scholarship with the NSW Institute of Sport.

    James, a current Australian reprsentative in Water Polo, was a member of the squad for the 2016 Rio Olympics. This is not his first encounter on an Olympic platform, in 2012 James was a member of the Aussie Sharks team that finished 7th in London. James is also the goal keeper for the UTS Balmain Tigers in the National League.

    Nicholas started playing water polo at 16 and has since been a representative in both state and national teams. In 2013, Nicholas represtented Australia at the World University Games in Kazan, Russia. In 2017, Nicholas gain further experience on an International platform, representing UTS Balmain Tigers at the World Club Challenge. He also represnts the club in the National League.
