5 Bollywood films you need to watch

1. Welcome (2008)

Welcome is a comedy movie sworn upon by almost all Bollywood comedy fans. It has hours of continuous entertainment and laughs, it’s light-hearted, and suitable for all ages. It has iconic dialogues and moments which are used for memes even today.

2. Hera Pheri (2000)

Hera Pheri is a laughter riot tattooed into the memory of every Bollywood comedy fan. It’s lightweight, funny, and doesn’t have a single boring moment. Filled with iconic dialogues and moments remembered even today. Enjoyed best *virtually* with family and friends.

3. Andhadhun (2018)

Andhadhun is an undisputed masterpiece when it comes to keeping the audience glued to their seats or more like to the edge of their seats. Even though it’s a recent release, it’s one of the best suspense thrillers Bollywood has to offer. Featuring some of the most talented and acclaimed actors of this generation; Ayushmaan Khurana, Tabu and Radhika Apte.

4. Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani (2013)

Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani is a slice of life that explores adventurous locations and scenic heartfelt moments which result in a frothy, feel-good and marvelously entertaining film.

5. Zindagi Na Milegi Doobara (2011)

Zindagi Na Milegi Doobara is one of those movies that questions: “What does it mean to be alive?” and “What are you living for?” A movie that explores the life and priorities of three very different and very close college friends. Wholesome and heartwarming.

Bonus: Drishyam (2015)

Drishyam is a suspense thriller about a family accused of murdering a high-ranking officer’s son. The investigation becomes a game of chess between a mother who wants to find her son, and a father willing to go to any extent to save his family.

Bonus: Rock ON!! (2008)

The movie single-handedly ignites the passion of every musician of this generation. It’s filled with iconic songs and a journey that finds its completion regardless the twists of life. Though it is centred around the story of a rock band, it still sprinkles some wisdom regarding life, the people in it, and the relationship they share.
