WHAT’S THE PLAN? VOTE FOR DhANesh.

University is made of students, by the students and for the students.

My name is Dhanesh Chandolia. I am in my 4th year studying Bachelors of Engineering (Honours), Diploma in Professional Engineering Practice and Specialising in Mechatronics.

Within my role as Mental Health and Wellbeing Representative at ActivateUTS, I have learnt low levels of dopamine may cause depression. A great way to boost dopamine is to create an arcade gaming and karaoke facility in the UTS underground. As the President of the UTS Indian Society, I observe that clubs and societies lack sufficient storage space in the Harry Health room and at events, complications arise due to lack of efficient communication. I strive to improve storage facilities for societies and communication devices for club events.

With my skills and ambitious nature, I will hold a strong voice for students and enrich the UTS Community.

What I’d like to achieve as an ActivateUTS Board Member:

  • Mental Health is a serious issue and can’t be neglected. Best way to boost dopamine for students is to have Karaoke Facility and more Arcade Gaming in UTS Underground.
  • During events complications arises due to improper communication. Best way to resolve this issue is by offering rental walkie talkies for societies to use.
  • Providing Financial planning centrally  focused  towards students. Professionals could come to UTS and suggest best ways students can invest.

Fun/Random Fact:

I see myself an adventurous guy. I have done sky diving from 15,000 ft, scuba diving in Great Barrier Reef, Bungee Jumping and many more. I believe with my leadership skills and risk taking nature I’ll strive to reach greater heights and bring change in the UTS community.
