The UTS North Sydney District Cricket Club is a premier sporting club at UTS competing in the NSW Premier Cricket Competition, a feeder for the NSW State Team.
Our club fields five Men’s grade teams, with the first grade team competing in arguably the strongest club competition in the world. As well as the Men's grade structure, we field an U21 team in the Poidevin Gray Shield as well as an U16 team in the AW Green Shield. In season 2019/20 UTS North Sydney will field U15, U18 and third grade Ladies teams. We are striving as a club to launch a full Woman's grade structure in the next two years.
Each year we send a team to compete at the National University Championships where we compete against the best student cricketers from across the country. This is the pinnacle for student cricketers with the winning team being chosen to represent Australia at the World University Championships. The UTS team has featured in the top 4 every year since 2011, and were Champions in 2014 and 2019.
We strive to create an environment to produce first class cricketers, and to provide the pathway we provide a coaching staff of ex-first class cricketers who bring their own experiences to drive performance. Our coaching team comprises Gary Whitaker (Director of Cricket - Men's), Michelle Goszko (Director of Cricket - Women’s) and Jason Krejza (Junior Development Manager). All three of are highly credentialed coaches with Jason and Michelle having represented Australia in Test Cricket.
Complementing our coaching structure UTS North Sydney DCC has are some of the finest grounds in NSW, with our first grade cricket played at the iconic North Sydney Oval.
The UTS Bears is the place for cricketers with a passion for the game and a desire to wear the Baggy Blue.
