UTS Sport has partnered with a number of sports clubs and state sporting bodies to establish a range of sports academies for the UTS community.
UTS Sparks Netball Academy
Unlike any other netball program in NSW, the UTS Sparks Netball Academy is an elite training academy for 15-21-year-old females, identified as a credible pathway for Premier League representation. Based at the UTS Ross Milbourne Sports Hall, UTS Sparks Academy athletes are provided with some of the state’s best coaching, in addition to education seminars, strength & conditioning programming and information on tertiary study at UTS.
The UTS Sparks have played an integral part in the development of Suncorp Super Netball players such as proud UTS students Claire O’Brien and Amy Parmenter, as well as producing a further 10 Australian Netball League representatives in recent years.

Water Polo NSW Academy
UTS Sport and Water Polo NSW established a significant partnership in 2015 to provide adequate sporting and academic pathways for talented junior water polo players. The Water Polo NSW Academy is an invitational program that engages promising u14, u16 and u18 players, with the all-encompassing tri-fold focus of skill development, gym development, and athlete education. This official NSW pathway is a Water Polo Australia endorsed program and is further partnered with the NSW Institute of Sport.
