Intervarsity clashes, basketball and netball, rivalry

Who’ll claim bragging rights?

When you think of powerhouse student-run clubs at UTS, you simply can’t go past UTS Netball. With a rich history in both mixed and women’s divisions, these guys are no strangers to “double gold” at various University Games and National Championships.

There’s talent, experience and enthusiasm spanning every inch of the court with this year’s squad. Assembling from NSW Men’s teams, NSW Premier League teams, and even Super Netball Academies, we’ve got it all.

Players to watch:

  • Conor Wilson, now a UTS veteran, known for his defensive work and ridiculous elevation, picked up the MVP award for the 2018 NSW U20 team
  • Grace Hill, our dominant mid-courter bringing knowledge and leadership from ACT state teams and the UTS Randwick Sparks NSW Premier League squad
  • Isabella Rankin, leading the defensive end, her flawless view of the game allows for game winning intercepts
  • Amy Sligar on debut in teal, this youngster is well beyond her years bringing vital experience from her time with the Giants Netball Academy and NSW state teams

They come from every corner of the University, from every imaginable netball background, but together in teal they are unstoppable.
